Active for more than 40 years with women of all ages, Sisterhood has been socializing, educating, and connecting with each other, Temple Kol Ami, and the greater WRJ (Women of Reform Judaism) community.

Jewish Connections Tour of the DIA Wednesday, June 29, 2022 11:00 AM – 12:15 PM

Hebrew writing on artworks at the DIA? Nazi-looted art rescued by the Monuments Men at the DIA?

Jewish figures in the Detroit Industry murals at the DIA?

This new, in-person experience, overseen by JHSM director Barbara Cohn, highlights works of art at the DIA with Jewish connections. Discover Jewish artists, confiscated paintings, Torah stories, community ties, and more. This is a tour you will remember!

 This is a private Jewish Historical Society of Michigan (JHSM) walking tour just for Sisterhood. Fees have been reduced to $20 per person, payable to Temple Kol Ami Sisterhood.

DIA’s Covid protocols limit us to two concurrent groups of eight.

Be one of the sixteen sisterhood members to join us! You MUST register by Friday, June 10.

The tour begins at 11:00 AM sharp. Carpoolers will meet at 9:45 AM at the temple parking lot.We will park in the DIA lot off John R ($7) and meet inside the DIA at the John R entrance at 10:45. No refunds unless the tour is canceled by JHSM
